Catherine is committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of service for each of her clients. In order to provide a carefully-planned, bespoke service she never takes on more than one renovation at a time.

Catherine Milner Interiors has facilitated lease extensions, acquired freehold interests and successfully implemented planning applications for properties in Knightsbridge and Belgravia, a result of which has led her to develop a close working relationship with the Grosvenor Estate.

19TH CENTURY COUNTRY HOUSE (2016 - 2017)

The Design Concept and Re-decoration of a 19th Century Country House (c. 1860’s), originally designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott (1811-78). –  

KNIGHTSBRIDGE, 18TH CENTURY COUNTRY HOUSE & BELGRAVIA (2014-2015)

INTERIOR DESIGN (2015) – Interior design of a prestigious Knightsbridge apartment (980 sq ft). INTERIOR DESIGN (2014) – Interior design of the upper floors of a Belgravia Mews House. DESIGN CONCEPT (2014) – Commissioned to create a Design Concept for an 18th Century Country House.  

BELGRAVIA & KNIGHTSBRIDGE (2012-2013)

RENOVATION & INTERIOR DESIGN (2012 – 2013)  of a Belgravia mews house (ground floor design) RENOVATION & INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT (2012 – 2013) of a Belgravia townhouse working in partnership with a Belgravia based architect to reconfigure the space for maximum effect, creating logical harmony throughout. CMI oversaw all architectural details and drawings, relevant permissions and structural references. Liaising closely with the work of highly skilled craftsman and artisans on the finely detailed architectural finishes. This included acquiring all the necessary planning permissions from the Grosvenor Estate and Westminster planning for a new state of the art sliding glass roof installation.

CHELSEA, GSTAAD (2011-2012)

INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT (2011 – 2012) of a large Chelsea apartment with a special focus on architectural finishes and beautiful bespoke furniture, chandeliers, sculptural wall lights and objects d’art. DESIGN CONCEPT (2012) for the design and the re-configuration of a chalet in Gstaad.

PENTHOUSE CHELSEA (2010-2011)

RENOVATION & INTERIOR DESIGN (2010 – 2011) of a prestigious Penthouse apartment (5,500 sqft) in Chelsea for a celebrity client. Using strong classical influences throughout juxtaposed with sculptural and beautiful bespoke pieces. This was a wonderful opportunity to work with some of the worlds leading bespoke furniture designers, whose works both highly contemporary and yet timeless. Finishes and bespoke pieces included: pieces by Herve van De Straeten, Damien Langllois-Meurinne, Michel Jouannet at Pouenat Paris, Tillmann Koehn, Gabrielle Crespi and Boccara rugs, pure silk rugs from Tai Ping, from the Rug Company: Kelly Werstler Tracery rug and Helen Murray Star silk rug.

CHELSEA, KNIGHTSBRIDGE, BELGRAVIA (2009-2010)

RENOVATION & INTERIOR DESIGN (2009 – 2010) of a charming and chic Chelsea first floor apartment with balconies overlooking the River Thames and beautiful Albert Bridge. ACQUISITION (2009) – Liaised with the Grosvenor Estate to help CMI client acquire the freehold of a mews house in Belgravia. DESIGN (2010) Architectural landscaping of the front exterior, and two terraces on the upper floor to for the mews house in Belgravia. RENOVATION (2009 – 2010) Permission granted to build a conservatory in the Eaton Square property CMI originally worked on in 2005. Liaised with the Grosvenor Estate and architect on the classical design of the conservatory with an ultra contemporary roof finish. The design of the conservatory was so successful that the Grosvenor set this design as a template for any future conservatories to be built on the estate. ACQUISITION (2009) – Acquired a luxurious 2-bed apartment in Knightsbridge on behalf of a client. Commissioned to interior design apartment post acquisition.

KNIGHTSBRIDGE (2008-2009)

RENOVATION & INTERIOR DESIGN (2007 – 2009) Complete renovation and re-design of a 2,000 sq ft lateral apartment in Knightsbridge, including acquiring a lease extension and a private car parking space. CMI re-configured spaces to maximum effect, and the client’s trust in CMI’s unique, imaginative designs produced an intimate and stylistic harmony. The purity of form and beauty that was created throughout the apartment resulted in the perfect living space for this businessman’s London family home. The end result was an expert mixture of genres and included strong Neo-classical influences and architectural finishes juxtaposed with ultra- contemporary bespoke and sculptural art works and lighting features. The project was a chance to work with some of the most highly sought after artisans/ designers of our time, including Tillmann Koehn bespoke furniture, Eva Menz chandeliers and Maria Hernandez paintings and architectural artwork panels.

KNIGHTSBRIDGE (2006-2008)

ACQUISITION & INTERIOR DESIGN (2006) – Acquired a two-bedroom Knightsbridge apartment (900sqft) on behalf of an international client. Interior designed the apartment initially for rental purposes, which included beautiful finishes, furniture, Bang & Olufsen audiovisual but subsequently used privately for clients family. INTERIOR DESIGN (2006 – 2007) Interior designer and project manager for the renovation and re-design of a mews house (2,200 sqft) in Belgravia. This wonderful client allowed CMI the creative freedom to reflect his love of artand use of bold colours, creating beautiful tones of midnight blues and aubergines in the polished Venetian plaster used throughout the house. Lighting was key and served to enhance all the polished plaster and the exceptional objets d’art that CMI sourced for the client, which included rare, beautiful pieces of ancient Chinese art.

BELGRAVIA (2004-2006)

ACQUISITION (2004) – Acquisition of a three bedroom lateral apartment (2,200 sqft) on the north side of Eaton Square RENOVATION (2005 – 2006) Lead Project Consultant for the full renovation of the above prestigious Eaton Square property, working closely with the project architects and the Grosvenor Estate on all works and finishes including: sourcing high-end audio/visual, A/C, bespoke cornicing, under floor heating, premium oak parquet flooring. Liaising closely with skilled artisans on all luxurious and interior finishes. Creatively directed the new garden landscape. Liaised with Christies on acquiring artwork to add to the client’s extensive art collection. Liaised with the Grosvenor Estate and relevant professionals for acquiring a long lease extension for the property.
